Garage Sale

Garage sales can be tricky.  I don't know about you, but if I set out to find something specific at a garage sale, not only do I not find what I am looking for, but I end up getting something that I really don't need!  Insanity!

If this is you, yet you still can't get enough of the thrill of the hunt, head out to Castlewood in Highland Village, Texas for the semi-annual neighborhood garage sale.  Most participants will start at 8 am Saturday, October 13, but a few may be out even earlier.  Since this is a neighborhood with a lot of young families, you can typically find great deals on things for babies and young children.  

Two years ago I was selling only baby clothes and my maternity diggs.  I even put a sign up on my front lawn and said "Baby and Maternity ONLY".  I joked to my husband, "You watch, someone will walk up and ask if I have a lawnmower for sale."  I kid you not...the very first person who drove up, rolled down their window and said....
