Trends With Tricia: Texas

Local Business and Highland Village, TX

i take a lot of pride in shopping local.  If I were completely honest, I have to admit that I do a wide variety of shopping.  Yes, I grocery shop at Walmart, Costco and Sprouts.  But I also visit stores like Megan's Lifestyle Boutique and The Flour Shop in the Shops at Highland Village.  Unfortunately, I have seen great stores go under like Chicks Dig It, Brilliant Sky and Just What I Wanted.

Shopping local isn't just something to do on occasion.  Supporting our local entrepreneurs keep the economy vibrant, alive and help us all to realize that the American Dream isn't something you hope for.  It's something you strive for!

As a self-employed individual, I take pride in the business I have built by myself, but not without the help of my neighbors, friends and people who put their trust in me.

The city of Highland Village has a neat program to increase awareness of local businesses and helping the members of our community keep their tax dollars in the city in which they live.

I don't know about you, but I love a good coupon.  Let's be there really a bad coupon?  Even free fried pickles are still free!

The Highland Village Business Association has opportunities for interested parties to receive updates and even head to their website to check out local perks and offers.

If you are a local business owner, you can be part of the HVBA for free and enjoy quarterly events and ribbon cutting ceremonies free of charge!
